Guice Smith is the Managing Director of Guice Smith & Associates (GS&A). Along with managing the recruiting firm, he remains active and hands on in searches recruiting in disciplines as executive administration, accounting and finance, and operations. He has built C-level executive teams for manufacturing, healthcare, technology, professional services and other industries throughout the United States and internationally. His search assignments have included CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and CIOs, as well as EVP and VP positions.

Guice was a partner for 17 years with an international search firm, where he was responsible for building the firm’s healthcare, accounting and finance, and management consulting practices. Before entering the executive search field, Guice was in the audit practice for the New Orleans office of Deloitte. He went on to work with Burkhalter and Company, a national boutique accounting and consulting firm focusing in the healthcare, public utilities, not-for-profit and manufacturing industries.

Guice is a 1981 Accounting graduate of the University of Mississippi and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is the 2017-2018 President of Tennessee HFMA, Board Member – Vice President of Collaboration of Tennessee HIMSS, ACHE member, an Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 217, a Life Group Leader at Judson Church and past Board Chair for the Donelson/Hermitage/Harding YMCA.

Guice has been married to Rhonda for 25 years. They have two sons and reside in Nashville, TN.

Angela Mayer is Director of Operations at Guice Smith & Associates. In addition to her operational duties, she focuses on recruiting healthcare and revenue cycle professionals as well as maintaining the administration of the company.

Previously, her professional background was in direct placement and recruitment in multiple industries including accounting, secretarial, light industrial, manufacturing, security, logistics & supply chain and sales. She also has experience in operations management, retail management, and has been national sales manager for a nostalgic candy company and a copperware manufacturer.

Angela has a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in Indiana and has lived in Nashville, Tennessee, since 1998. She has been married to Mark for 19 years, and they have a pug/Manchester Terrier mix named Bazinga.

Shelli Saunders is an Executive Director over the Healthcare practice at Guice Smith & Associates. Her focus is in placing healthcare providers (Physicians and Medical Directors) in about all specialties including both administrative roles as well as clinical.

Previously, Shelli worked for a large publicly traded corporate locums company recruiting physicians and medical providers for government contracts–Military, Indian Health and the VA system.

Shelli went to Ohio Christian University and majored in Christian Education.

She has been married for 35 years. They have two boys, both living as single bachelors in the city of Atlanta.

Rhonda is a Director in the Healthcare practice at Guice Smith & Associates. Her “sweet spot” is specializing in Physician and Physician Assistant recruitment primarily in all specialties.

Rhonda has worked in public school education for 21 years and has learned to balance recruiting with her full-time position of a Special Education teacher in the middle school system. She likes to think that her “recruiting” experience began in the classroom, helping students to see that there are new and exciting opportunities, especially meant for them.

Rhonda received her degree in at Ohio University in Portsmouth, Ohio and has been married to Dan for 38 years. They have 3 grown children, 2 grandchildren and a rescued cat named George.

Amy is a Director in the Healthcare practice at Guice Smith & Associates. Her focus is in placing primary care providers such as Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Urgent Care providers.

Previously she has a total of 27 years of experience in working in Education in public schools and serving others alongside of her husband who is a pastor in the local church. This experience has helped her to develop a set of people skills that directly influences her ability to genuinely connect with candidates and effectively lead them through the process to job placement.

Amy has been married to her husband, Derek for 27 years. Together they have 2 great children, ages 21 and 13 and a new addition to their family, Harley Davidson Catron, a 2-month-old Cock-shih-poo puppy who they adore!!

Whitney Eggleston is a Director in the Healthcare practice at Guice Smith & Associates.

Previously she served as a recruiter within an HR team in a corporate environment.

Whitney received her undergraduate degree at Olivet Nazarene University in Corporate Communications, with a Minor in Marketing. She also has her MBA in Business Administration from Olivet Nazarene.

She has been married to her husband, Jordan for 9 years and has two, cute, little boys – Wyatt, age 4, and Paxton, age 2. The family also has a cat named Thor. She enjoys reading, watching home decorating shows, drinking coffee, and eating sushi with Yum-Yum Sauce.

Brittany has always had a passion for healthcare. For multiple years she worked on the clinical side of healthcare, which allows her to understand how employment needs affect the patient outcome. She has continued her education with a B.S. in Health Science and most recently, a M.S. in Healthcare Administration with a minor in Strategic Management. Her education plus her clinical experience in healthcare gives her a well-rounded view of the needs of healthcare organizations from both, the clinical and administrative perspective.

Darcy is a Director in the Healthcare practice at Guice Smith & Associates. Her focus is in placing Orthopedics, Pain Management, Neurosurgery providers as well as Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and unique specialties (like Perfusionists).

Previously Darcy was the Practice Manager of a multi-dentist specialty practice. She has enjoyed mostly working with the patients, their families and referring doctors to make the dental experience as stress-free as possible.

Darcy has been married to Tim for 38 years. They have four grown children, and 5 grandchildren. They raised their family on Tim’s family property in a small town north of Atlanta. These days, Darcy’s 90-year-old mother lives with them and she is very thankful that Tim is her “personal chef” and “driver”.

Kim Rice is a Director in the Healthcare practice at Guice Smith & Associates. While she specializes in recruiting Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, she also recruits healthcare professionals and providers in all specialties.

Previously, Kim worked in Education where she has learned to balance recruiting with her full-time position as a Special Education Instructional Assistant in the school system.

Kim graduated from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University.

She has 4 beautiful kids, 3 in college, and one who is a golf pro (and also happens to be an amputee cancer survivor), with a sweet Yorkie named Sadie Mae. She enjoys the warm weather and gardening.

Hannah Rudd is a Director in the Healthcare practice at Guice Smith & Associates. She has focuses on recruiting healthcare professionals and providers in nursing, physicians and allied health both clinically and administrative and in most specialties.

Previously, her professional background was in retail for 7+ years; 5 of them as a Store Manager for a large national chain, leading her own team to network, recruit, develop employees, analyze reports, and achieve sales goals by building on the customer experience.

She is married to Sam and she raises three young sons at home with, along with a cat named Lola. Hannah’s top interest is in personal growth that emphasizes leadership and adding value to her family, friends, and professional circle.

Before entering the executive recruiting arena, Art has over 20 years of operations experience as a tier one automotive supplier with companies such as Dana Corporation, Collins & Aikman and Bosch Brakes. As an executive recruiter, he has experience developing expertise in practically every production process that would be involved in a manufacturing environment. Over 40% of his searches are in the technical manufacturing field (Automation Engineering, Process Engineering, EHS, Maintenance or Quality). Approximately 20% of his searches are in finance and/or accounting in a manufacturing environment. Another 20% of his search expertise lies in recruiting professionals in the Lean/Operational Excellence areas.

Art received his degree in Education and History from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
